INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

     Note: this product is designed to be fitted to the hinge side of a door.

(1.) (fig.1) Measure 1065mm (42”) from ground level. Apply pencil mark on door frame.
Place top of handrail on pencil mark. Mark ­first hole a minimum of 20mm from edge of doorside frame. The rail is approx 100mm wide, 50mm of which is to be screw fixed to solid doorframe, the remaining 50mm over hanging doorframe.

(2.) (fig.2) When all 4 holes are marked and positioned correctly, pilot drill 4 holes,using a 3mm drill.

(3.) (fig.3) Remove screws and caps from package and position handrail over pilot drilled holes (3a). Locate predrilled holes in rail (3b). Position screw cap washer’s (3c). Align screws provided (3d).

(4.) (fig.4) Using a hand held screwdriver begin fixing rail to frame, being careful not to over tighten screws, especially when using self tapping screws into UPVC, and aluminium door frames.

• When fitting your Child safety hand rail it may be necessary, if your door frame has a rebate to insert spacers (preferably saddle washers) that can be purchased from any D.I.Y stores.
